Short Drop Studios celebrates the memory of the late, legendary emcee with the new Notorious B.A.T. resin art toy sculpture. The lyrical hero of Brooklyn debuts in the Blue Bat edition with the classic caped crusader colors featuring a ‘BKLYN’ bat emblem and of course, jeans and Timberlands. With mic in hand and his ‘Big Poppa’ breakfast on-tap on his utility belt, the larger-than-life emcee hero is ready to rise above.
First released in small numbers at DesignerCon 2023 from exclusive distributor HipHopToyz, the figure stands out immediately, first on the super hero front and then of course when the full hip-hop celebration registers. The 12″ sculpt makes full use of the medium with the low-poly, faceted mic, the flowing cape and of course, the steak, cheese, two eggs and bottle of Welch’s riding low. The toy is true to the promo renders except for the coloring which is more saturated, with a deeper blue and black versus gray microphone.
An edition of 90 pieces, the Notorious B.A.T. resin art toy sculpture (12″) will be available on Thursday (1.18) at 4 PM PST from HipHopToyz for $250. The figure is in stock and ready to ship.
